Micro-loft, Macro-design

What do you do with a former superintendent apartment that needs to be completely renovated? – You go wild!

And that is exactly what we did, in collaboration with the architect Isabel Velarde. The synergies between architecture and interior design created a home that goes beyond aesthetics, enhancing functionality, comfort and efficiency.

The loft’s design prioritizes open-plan living, with a focus on maximizing natural light and creating a sense of spaciousness. Custom furniture solutions, such as the integrated staircase and hallway storage, optimize every inch of the space.

The mezzanine bedroom adds a unique dimension to the loft, offering a private retreat. Elevated above the rest of the house, all superfluous accessories have been eliminated, leaving only the essential elements.

And, let’s not forget the importance of color to bring personality to a petite space. With a carefully selected color palette, we defined different areas. Neutral, serene tones in combination with natural materials, such as wood, and modern elements, such as metal, to create a sense of balance and harmony.  To bring character and dynamism to the space, we opted for bold and vibrant colors, such as the blue sofa and the living room’s clay red custom-made furniture.
