Designing for Cohabitation

In a pre-Covid19 era, we were tasked with finding answers to the following questions: Is it possible the coexistence between the current social changes and the quality of life? Are there other ways to create a home? Who would benefit most from other cohabiting models? How do we make it possible?

Our team of designers and design researchers conducted a thorough investigation with our anthropological and human-centered methodology. We were able to adapt the international Coliving model to the Spanish context. Based on the literature analysis, in-depth interviews, participant observation, and above all, the co-creation workshops we were able to devise, test, and prototype different models until we found the most appropriate one including service and interior design.
